Great article and I totally agree with you. I am a male and I taught myself to sew as a kid and then later in high school took bathelor living and what I learned came in very handy later in life. If he thinks it’s unmanly. Some pretty rugid sailors sew sails, I wouldn’t call them unmanly.

It is the same here in Germany. Lots of adults are having fun going to IKEA, too, and usually you get back with more than you intended to buy. Just now we are all wating for the new catalogues to be dropped into our mail boxes (the real ones), and I love to sit and look at all those photos and think about things to buy. I am curious however whether the products in your IKEA and in the IKEA houses in Berlin are the same…

Excellent post! My 5 year old is constantly complaining that life is not fair. I keep telling her that Mommy and Daddy give her what she needs at the time and not whats fair. He brother make get a toy or a candy when she doesn’t, that’s just the way it is.
